Quilting

Librarian Antoinette Blankvoort-Wieberdink reluctantly accepted a friend’s invitation to attend a quilting class in Portage la Prairie some 15 years ago. That modest table runner was the beginning of a love affair with fabric. Drawing inspiration from designers like Kaffe Fassett and others, she devotes her spare time to piecing large quilt tops or smaller projects. Her signature palette is composed of rich hues of red but she is also inspired by other interesting patterns and/or beautiful fabrics. Many project have found a new home in Europe, in particular her native country, The Netherlands.
